The Denver-based law firm of Carver Schwarz McNab Kamper & Forbes, LLC , represents businesses involved in business transactions and legal disputes regarding the use of natural resources. We serve clients throughout the Rocky Mountain region.
Our natural resources lawyers have a wide range of experience in the focused legal area of natural resource law. We handle complex purchase, sale and financing transactions, particularly those raising mineral development, surface use and conservation easement issues.
We work with clients to identify and comply with the various state and federal environmental and natural resource regulatory regimes, such as those arising out of the Clean Water Act (CAA), the Clean Air Act (CWA), the National Environmental and Policy Act (NEPA), the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA), the 1872 Mining Act, the Forest Service Organic Act, the Endangered Species Act (ESA); the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
We defend clients before agencies such as BLM, MMS, USFS, EPA, and various state departments of environmental quality. We also provide general corporate advice to our clients. Contact our office to speak with an attorney regarding any of the following legal matters.
Oil and Gas Rights and Related Concerns
Our oil and gas practice operates primarily in the Rocky Mountain region. We represent large and small oil and gas producers in negotiating oil and gas rights to explore, acquire, and develop properties, or to gain access to properties, including private land and federal lands. We also provide a variety of business law services for oil and gas clients establishing joint business ventures, and requiring contract and real estate legal services.
Changes in the air pollution control laws and the application of those laws are increasingly impinging upon daily business for oil and gas and utility companies. Jeff Schwarz counsels and defends utility companies as well as oil and gas companies with air quality concerns that fall under the Clean Air Act.
